Description

The activity concerns the pre-assembly in the workshop of the steel roof structure “The Canopy” that will be installed for the new amusement ride “TRON”.

“TRON Lightcycle Run” will represent the new Roller Coaster foreseen for 2021 in the amusement park “Magic Kingdom” in Orlando (Florida).

The first activity of BOLINA Ingegneria regarded the FEM analysis of the steel roof structure pre-assembled on temporary supports. It includes:

  • stress and strain analysis of the structure subject to self-weight load case, in accordance with the temporary supports layout and the pre-assembly sequence shared with Cimolai Technical Department;
  • verification of the erection aids;
  • verification of perimeter and gridshell temporary supports.

In addition, the local analysis of the single roof modules (“mega-panels” and “scalette”) during lifting has been carried out:

  • stress and strain analysis of the single module;
  • verification of the erection aids of the single module.
