Structural design review and support to the technical department of Cimolai S.p.a.
The work in question consists of the new Louis Armstrong Tennis Stadium in New York that will host the U.S. Open starting in 2018. That stadium will have a capacity of 14,000 and will be equipped with a movable roof. The stadium will replace the historic Louis Armstrong Arena that was demolished in 2016.
The work carried out by BOLINA with Cimolai’s Technical Office involves the analysis and review of the executive design in support of the modeling activity of the structure. The design analysis was followed by the preparation of RFIs (Request For Information) sent to the designer and the optimization of some structural details. In addition, support was provided for change management and analysis of their impacts.
